North Star Minor Hockey Association Parents
Please come to this education session to better understand and ask questions on the challenges and the opportunities that are facing minor hockey in our region.
The Presidents and Gulf Storm Representatives from North Star, Southside, and Kensington minor hockey associations have met to review projected numbers at all levels in all three associations (Novice to Midget; A and AA leagues).
Due to declining numbers at all levels in each association, we anticipate not enough hockey players at every level. For this year (2015-2016), all three associations recommend proceeding with cooperation at every level with a trial amalgamation.
Zone Agreements at North Star, Kensington and Southside Associations are being considered.
