Kidsport Procedures for 2020

KidSport provides grants to kids from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport. KidSport Prince Edward Island provides grants of up to $400 per eligible kid, per year (January 1st - December 31st) towards sport registration fees.

The importance of sport and recreation became clearer as we saw the loss of programming due to COVID-19 back in March. Slowly, thanks to the efforts of all Islanders, we have started taking the steps to our new normal.

We believe in the power of sport, and now more than ever it's important to ensure Island youth get the opportunity to participate in organized sport. Kids need sport and for the low income families that need is even greater.

Effective September 16th to December 31st, 2020, our criteria has changed. Additionally, the grant per child will be increased from $300 to $400. For details visit: KidSport PEI
