Provincials - Win #1 for North Stars 4-2 over Southside
Great Game Girls..!! Total Shots on Goal: 35-11
Period #1: Southside got the first goal at 6:44, but the Stars came back at the 11:01 mark on a beautiful goal by Ashley who got a great pass by Catherine! Then with 8.1 seconds left, in a scramble in front of the net, Dianna lifted a backhand over the goalie, on a pass from Courtney. But, shortly before that (at 4:18), Dianna got a penalty for roughing. Shots on goal: 11-6 for Stars.
Period #2: 4 minutes into the 2nd period, Southside tied the game 2-2. Shortly thereafter, Dianna's slapshot knocked the Southside goalie backwards into the net and she dropped the puck. 3-2 Stars. A minute and 10 seconds later, Ashley landed a fabulous shot just under the crossbar, after receiving a pass from Haley. Score: 4-2 Stars. Shots on goal: 13-3. No penalties.
Period #3: No scoring. Shots on goal 11-2.
