2021-22 AGM date and call for new board members
2022-05-17The date has been set for our AGM. Please come out and help your hockey board wrap up the season. The board is also looking to fill a few vacant positions.
The AGM for NSMHA will be held Tuesday June 7th at 7PM upstairs in the North Rustico Lions Club.
We will begin the meeting with a presentation to this year's graduating players and present the annual Memorial player awards and other anual awards.
The Hockey Board is also looking to fill some vacancies. We have some members retiring their positions and others who are coming to the end of their terms. It will be a rebuilding year for the board and an exciting year for minor hockey in Rustico as the new rink gets set to open. There is no previous experience required to fill a position on the board and many positions have limited duties.
The board is looking for:
2nd Vice President Reviews Coaching applications and interviews potential coaches along with other board members. Attends NSMHA meetings
Secretary Records and maintains NSMHA meeting minutes and is one of the signing authorities for the bank account.
Co-ordinators for U13, U11 & U7 Acts as a point of communication between the board and the coach. At the start of the season, provides coach with support until the team selects a manager. During the season, the co-ordinator will check in with the coach from time to time to see how the season is going.
Matrix Board Rep (2 needed) These individuals are NSMHA's reps on the Martix board. They attend Matrix Board meetings and would have other duties for that board as required. They would be required to provide a general update on Matrix activities at NSMHA meetings or to the NSMHA President
Gulf Storm Board Rep (1 needed) This person in NSMHA's rep on the Gulf Storm board. They attend Gulf Storm board meetings and would have other duties for that board as required. They would be required to provide a general update on Gulf Storm activities at NSMHA meetings or to the NSMHA President.
